Here is a quick guide to what to expect, ways to save and have fun during the Holidays.
Anticipated Terrain Open by Christmas
Snowriver Mountain Resort has received well over two feet of snow and counting this December and given the success of the start of the season we are optimistic that this season we'll be skiing and riding by the busy Christmas Week holiday vacation week on both mountains with nearly 75% of our trail terrain open and plenty of snow in the glades! If Mother Nature and Lake Superior continue to pound us with Lake Effect snow's we certainly can be skiing and riding on 100% of our terrain! We are not ruling that out. But here's where we think we'll be at both mountains.
Jackson Creek - Christmas Week
Jackson Creek has been open since December 6, 2024 and continues to make snow and expand each week. For the Christmas Week vacation week we anticipate having all of our major trails open off the Voyageur Express Six Pack including favorites like Voyageur's Highway, Superior, Alpenglow, Sundance, F.I.S. and additional trails over off the Bear Creekl Double like Deer Track and Running Bear.
Considering that we've been picking up feet upon feet of snow this number could increase to 100% with a majority of our glades also very skiable!
Black River Basin - Christmas Week
Black River Basin will be your hub for laps upon laps off the double chairs and plenty of music in the Gabbro Grille! Black River Basin will have at least 15 trails open for Christmas Week operating off of the Ascender and Capstan Chairs. Just like sister mountain Jackson Creek Summit, if the Lake Effect snowmachine continues pounding the Upper Peninsula like it has all December long the likely hook that all our glades and more trails open is very likely!

New Year's Eve at Snowriver Mountain Resort is off the charts fun! Join us for an unforgettable evening at Jackson Creek Summit during the day and then Black River Basin at night as we ring in the New Year with fun, festivities, and fantastic entertainment!
