Pushing On

It's been a busy week... err couple of days across the resort. Hard to believe it's only Wednesday with all that's been going on. Wanted to give you all an update on our expected terrain for this weekend now that we have another couple of days of snowmaking knocked out. Things have shaped up really well. The guns have been blowing steadily on River Drive, Upper Spillway, Whitesides Crossing, and Logjam since last weekend. River Drive is still a go for Thursday morning with C-Lift and the other trails coming online by the time Saturday rolls around.

Thanks to the careful track packing done over the past month by our cat crew, we'll also have a couple of natural snow trails ready to ride including Horseshoe and Duke's mixture. The remaining trails that have yet to open still need some more work from mother nature and our team before they're ready for skis and boards. The heavy rainfall right before the first snowfall has left some persistent wet spots that aren't holding snow as well as we'd like which hasn't allowed us to smooth out all of the water bars to our satisfaction. With that in mind, be mindful of closures and hazard markings when out on the slopes this weekend, they are put in place for your safety. As always, please ski and ride on open terrain only. Summit Rental Shop Update

With just over one week left until the season opener at Jackson Creek Summit, the final touches on our renovations are really starting to take shape. The rental shop is coming along nicely. The crew began assembly of the boot storage racks today and will start on ski and board racks tomorrow. Once the racking is assembled they'll start moving all of our new rental equipment into position. Then all we'll need to do is move the counters and benches into position, vacuum the new carpet, mop the new rubber floors and we'll be ready to rent on opening day! I think our guests are going to be blown away by the transformation when they show up on the 16th.
